T47 International is currently hiring for a professional academic advisor.

Responsibilities:

The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, transportation, and services in support of U.S. Air Force voluntary off-duty education program. The contractor shall be required to provide academic advisement, information, and guidance plus preparation of documents associated with the services provided.

Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills and verbal communication skills are essential.

Compensation:

Part-Time W2: $20.00 per hour

Appropriate related professional work/volunteer experience of at least one (1) year is required

Education:

A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited American college or university is required. Masters degree and/or 15-30 semester hours in counseling, secondary education or a related discipline is preferred.

Duties:

Advises active duty AF personnel on all programs available through voluntary off-duty education, the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), Defense Activity for Non- Traditional Education Support (DANTES), AF Institute of Advanced Distributive Learning (AFIADL), officer accession programs, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and other educational support programs. Keeps the Chief, Education, and Training Section current on all program/catalog changes and advises affected students promptly.

Advises AF personnel of Professional Military Education: Senior Non-commissioned Officers Academy (SNCOA), Squadron Officers School (SOS), Air Command and Staff College (ACSC), and Air War College (AWC). The contractor shall brief enlisted personnel and officers programs available by correspondence, in residence or seminar format and assists them in registering for appropriate programs.

Provides information regarding Air Force tuition assistance (TA), Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits, federal financial assistance programs, local scholarships, and Air Force Aid Society grants to all eligible personnel. Assists students with completion of all applicable forms/applications. Processes TA forms via the Air Force Automated Education Management System (AFAEMS) software program.

Refers students to the appropriate academic institution representative for registration and enrollment in courses or programs that pertain to their education goals.

Assists AF students in changing education level codes by preparing appropriate correspondence, forms, and academic documentation required to update individual AF personnel records with their current education status. After document verification by Chief, Education and Training Section or designee forwards information to the appropriate agency via mail, fax, or updates the military personnel data system (MilPDS) as available.

Plans and executes semiannual CCAF graduation ceremonies. Provides Chief, Education and Training Section with detailed timeline of graduation-related activities at least three (3) months in advance of graduation dates. Provides weekly updates via email up to the day of the ceremony. Performs administrative follow-up including thank you letters, diploma mail-outs, and after-action reports.
